Spectra Cities - Numena GmbH

Spectra is where physical placemakers and digital worldbuilders come together to build this century’s most ambitious urban projects. Spectra’s toolkit and design process can support projects from single sites, to infill developments, up to a city of 1M+ people.

The community undertakes projects that become part of a CC0 repository available to everyone, everywhere. The repository is accessible in two formats: as a downloadable asset pack of city parts and as an immersive virtual experience we call the Source City.

The Secret Dig - Numena GmbH

An AR game with AR  elements inside a German archaeology museum.
What is an AR game, a ‘proper’ game with gameplay, an exciting story and NPGs? Will museum visitors be ready and willing to play it? Are museums even places where people go to engage in this type of activity? Over a year ago, our team and the Franziskanermuseum in Villingen, Germany began a journey to find some answers.

The Secret Dig, our location-based AR game with ARG elements, will launch on September 1st! It is located in a room that houses a 2600 year old Celtic tomb and has a playtime of about an hour.

Mendel`s Peas - VRLab Academy

The mendelian pea experiment is an important experiment for students to distinguish between phenotype and genotype, to understand the mono- hybrid concept and genetic theory. However, in real life, it takes months for genetic analysis of next generations. For this reason, it cannot be possible for students to do it during school time.

On the other hand, Mendel and his peas experiment can be done in a few minutes in a virtual laboratory. Students can do the genetic experimentation of different traits such as color and shape in a short time.

The student can observe which feature is dominant over which feature by selecting the peas they want. After pollinating the peas, they take the offspring and germanite them. In this way, students can learn phenotypes and genotypes concepts.
